Biltmore
February may be the best time of year to visit the Biltmore Estate. Not only are the crowds lighter, but admission prices are at their lowest. If strolling through a 19th-century castle and its grounds while holding hands with your significant other isn’t romantic enough, the Estate is also home to a winery where you can taste before you buy, several shops, beautiful gardens, and numerous recreational activities.

- Paint Your Partner The Whale South Slope brewery invites couples to paint each other on canvas, Feb. 14 at 3 p.m. They supply the canvas, paint, and brushes. Tickets are $25 per couple.
- New Belgium Valentine’s Day Stouts & Cupcakes The River Arts District brewery is serving its limited-release Red Velvet Stout and cupcakes from Ivy’s River Bake Shop. The fun starts Feb. 14 at 1 p.m.
- Partner Yoga Asheville Yoga Center will host a Valentine’s Day Partner Yoga on Feb. 14 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $40 per couple, and reservations are available online.
- Gaze at the Stars Astronomer, author, and natural storyteller Stephan Martin will share celestial love stories under the stars at Hickory Nut Gap Farm on Feb. 14 from 7:30-9. The cost is $12. Get all the details at the link.

- Throw Axes Need to blow off a little steam? What could be more romantic than throwing an axe?? Axeville Throwing Club provides a fun and entertaining way to bond while throwing an axe at a target and having a couple of drinks.
- Smash a Car Join Hi-Wire Brewing for the annual "Cupid Is Stupid" Car Smashing Event on February 14 from 1–4 PM at its Biltmore Village taproom. Hi-Wire will provide protective eyewear and an assortment of “bludgeoning devices” to smash the car, with proceedsm benefitting the Pink Boots Society of North Carolina.
